Abel Prize announcement

The name of the 2013 Abel Laureate will be announced by the President of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

The chair of the Abel committee, Professor Ragni Piene, will then state the reasons for the awarding of the prize. This will be followed by a popular science presentation of the prizewinner's work. The event will be filmed and an be wieved as a live webcast.
