The lectures were held at the University of Oslo, on 16 May. 


Richard Taylor gave the other Abel Lecture with the title "The Tate Conjecture".

Andreas Enge gave the Science Lecture where the topic was cryptology with the title "The queen of mathematics in communication security"

The President of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, Nils Christian Stenseth, announced the name of the 2010 Abel Laureate at the Academy in Oslo 24. March.
