The 2005 Abel Lectures

Peter D. Lax gave his Abel Lecture at the University of Oslo on 25 May. Three other prominent mathematicians gave honourary lectures.

Sebastian Noelle, CMA Oslo/RWTH Aachen, Peter Sarnak, Princeton University and Stephanos Venakides, Duke University gave lectures in honour of the Abel Laureate. 200 people attended the Abel Lectures that was chaired by professor Ingrid Daubechies from Princeton University and professor Don Zagier from Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, both members of the Abel Comittee.
